May 16, 2009 Graduation Ceremony for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Millennium Park, Chicago Chuck received an honorary doctorate from his undergraduate alma mater and addressed the assembly. He also participated in the dedication of the Art Institute's new Modern Wing.
Feb. 14, 2009 Exploring Your Potential in Art, Science and Design Chicago Public Library Bessie Coleman Branch Chuck participated in lectures and a self-portrait workshop for youth. The program included Ralph and Maxime Gilles and members of Project Osmosis.
Oct. 20 -22, 2008 2008 National Design Week Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum , New York City As part of his honor as receipient of the 2008 National Design Award for Lifetime Achievement, Chuck participated in a number of National Design Week events including: The Teen Design Fair, Winner's Panel and the National Design Awards Gala".
